Bombay High Court has granted an ad-interim stay on GST demands exceeding ₹10,000 crore raised against 13 insurance companies over co-insurance premiums and ceding commission. Insurers, including Aditya Birla Health Insurance, SBI General Insurance and ICICI Lombard, had approached the court. They argued that the tax demands were contrary to CBIC circulars.
