Bones found on North Yorkshire farmland identified as World War 2 airmen

Human bones discovered at a remote North Yorkshire location almost two years ago have been identified as two Second World War airmen. The remains of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve crew members were discovered in Hambleton district in March 2020. Pilot Officer Alfred William Milne and Warrant Officer Eric Stubbs, both aged 22, were killed in crash in 1944.
