Gennova Biopharmaceuticals' booster vaccine GEMCOVAC-OM has been approved for emergency use by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) to provide immunity against the Omicron variant of COVID-19. The vaccine is administered intradermally using a needle-free injection device system. It doesn't need ultra-low temperature conditions for transport and storage, said Union Minister Jitendra Singh.
