short by Anushka Singh / on Monday, 21 September, 2026
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday released a female cheetah, brought to India from Botswana, in the Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary. He renamed the 3-year-old cheetah as Radha to mark the festival of Radha Ashtami. The cheetah joins three translocated South African cheetahs, two males and one female, shifted from the Kuno National Park over a year ago.
