David Dhawan said that his 1993 film 'Aankhen' was a success that he'd never experienced before. "I'd never experienced stardom of [that] level...I'd tears...From the next day [of the film's release]...People's attitude [changed] towards me...I bought...house. Only I know how my life was before [this film]," he shared. He credited Pahlaj Nihalani, Govinda and Anees Bazmee for Aankhen's success.
