Boxer Sakshi Chaudhary beats Paris Olympics medallist Villegas, enters Asiad pre-quarters

Indian boxer Sakshi Chaudhary defeated Paris Olympics bronze medallist Aira Villegas of the Philippines by a unanimous 5-0 decision in the women’s 51kg event at the Asian Games 2026 in Japan on Tuesday. With the victory, the 26-year-old reached the pre-quarterfinals. Sakshi, a former junior and youth world champion, recently won gold at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
