Brain activity can predict a risky decision before it's made: Study

Scientists have identified two neighbouring regions in the human brain that appear to compete when a person decides whether to take a risk and have found their activity can predict the decision nearly half a second before it's made. Researchers recorded brain activity directly from the orbitofrontal cortex, a region behind the eyes. The findings were published in Nature Neuroscience.
