Brazil has formally joined South Africa's genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The case alleges that Israel's actions in Gaza violate the 1948 Genocide Convention. Countries including Spain, Ireland, Mexico, and Turkiye have also supported the case. More than 65,000 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed since the conflict began in October 2023.
