Brazil's Supreme Court has suspended a new law that could reduce the prison sentence of former President Jair Bolsonaro. The law sought to reduce the waiting period for sentence reductions for convicts jailed for plotting a coup. Bolsonaro is currently serving a 27-year sentence for conspiring to remain in power despite losing to current President Lula da Silva in 2022.
