The Telangana government recently launched the pilot phase of a breakfast and milk scheme for school and junior college students in Hyderabad. The programme has been well received by students, parents and teachers, and has also helped improve school attendance. Despite the positive response, concerns remain over the consistency of the weekly menu and the quality of some of the items served.
