Brent crude surges above $96/barrel after Iran's attack on Israel

Brent crude jumped 3.6% to $96.47 per barrel on Monday after Iran launched several rounds of missiles toward Israel. The price surge was driven by concerns that renewed conflict could disrupt oil supplies from the Middle East, especially through the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Brent had earlier slipped below $95 per barrel on hopes of progress in US-Iran talks.
