Former Cognizant CEO Brian Humphries, who was replaced by Ravi Kumar S in January, was "terminated without cause", the company's 2023 proxy statement showed. Cognizant had not previously revealed that Humphries was dismissed. Notably, termination without cause has nothing to do with significant workplace misconduct, and the person remains entitled to severance payment.
