BRICS pushes UN reform, says no woman has led UN in 81 yrs

BRICS backed greater representation for women in the post of UN Secretary-General while calling for "comprehensive reform" of the world body, including its Security Council. The New Delhi Declaration noted that no woman has ever served as UN Secretary-General. António Guterres' term as UN Secretary-General ends in December, as the world body marks 81 years since its founding in 1945.
