The Jamuaghat bridge collapsed in Mayurbhanj district on Udala-Balasore road in Odisha on Saturday. The bridge, which was a crucial transport link in the region, collapsed as water level of the Deo River increased due to heavy rainfall in the region. Meanwhile, heavy rain was also reported in Puri where people gathered in large numbers to attend Jagannath Rath Yatra.
