A strong 6.8 magnitude earthquake that hit southeastern Taiwan on Sunday left the Gaoliao Bridge twisted and cracked. Since Saturday evening, dozens of earthquakes have hit the island's southeastern coast. The earthquakes also toppled a three-story building and knocked a part of a passenger train off its tracks.
