A bridge got washed away near Fun Valley and Uttarakhand Dental College on the Dehradun-Haridwar National Highway after heavy rain on Monday night. At least five people were swept away and several shops were damaged after a cloudburst in Dehradun triggered landslides and caused rivers to swell, The Indian Express reported. Relief and rescue operations are underway.
