Singer Britney Spears was arrested for drunk driving on Wednesday night in Ventura County, California. The singer was handcuffed by the California Highway Patrol around 9:30 pm (local time) and booked at around 3 am (local time) on Thursday. She was later released and is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
