The Border Roads Organisation has set a new Guinness World Record for constructing the world’s highest motorable road at 19,400 feet in Ladakh's Mig La Pass. They broke their previous record when they constructed the highest motorable road at 19,024 feet in Ladakh's Umling La. The BRO also hoisted a national flag at the Mig La Pass.
