The deadline by which chipmaker Broadcom is required to complete the $61 billion acquisition of cloud computing firm VMware has been extended by three months. The new "outside date" for the deal is May 26, as per a regulatory filing. The extension comes as the deal faces regulatory scrutiny in the UK and the European Union.
