A broken teapot bought for £15 (over ₹1,300) at a general auction in the UK in 2016 has been auctioned for £575,000 (over ₹5 crore). The teapot, which had a broken handle and was missing its lid, was discovered to be one of the first-ever made in the US. It was offered at a base price of £10,000.
