Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Chandra Prakash Mishra Matiyari on Wednesday joined the BJP in the presence of Union Ministers JP Nadda and Smriti Irani. Mishra joined the BJP after being "impressed with the all-round development of Amethi" under PM Narendra Modi's leadership, Irani said. In 2004, Mishra lost the elections against Congress President Rahul Gandhi in Amethi.
