Biocon Executive Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw has denied reports of the company selling out. "I am an entrepreneur who has built [business] to last. I am not going to sell out," she said. Mazumdar-Shaw added that the company is currently looking at equity investment options as part of its strategy to reduce debt levels.
