The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project has achieved a milestone with opening of first section of the 21-km undersea tunnel between BKC-Thane. This development follows the completion of 310 km of viaduct construction. Under the India-Japan strategic partnership, the Japanese government has agreed to introduce the next-generation E10 Shinkansen trains for Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project.
