Bunch of grapes sold for over $10,000 in Japan

A bunch of about 30 grapes was sold for a record price of about $10,793 at an auction in Japan, where seasonal fruit offerings regularly attract large sums. The grapes were of the Ruby Roman variety, which is considered a status symbol in Japan. To qualify for the designation, each grape must weigh 20 grams and have 18% sugar content.
