Butter cost nearly doubles amid shortage in France

The price of butter has rocketed 92% in a year in France, according to reports. Rising demand for butter, both in France and abroad, coupled with declining milk yields across Europe is being blamed for the price increase. Butter is a key ingredient of French cuisine and makes up about 25% of the ingredients of the baked goods industry.
