Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD plans to open a car production plant in Pakistan's Karachi with a local partner. The new plant will begin operations in 2026. Pakistan, the world's fifth-largest nation by population, has seen Chinese companies including Great Wall Motor Company, SAIC Motor and Changan Automobile enter the market in recent years.
