BYJU'S Co-founder Divya Gokulnath claimed the edtech startup's financial results are "second blockbuster release" of 2022, after Brahmāstra. BYJU'S, which reported its results after 18-month delay, said losses for FY21 stood at ₹4,500 crore. Accusing media of "sensationalism", Gokulnath said, "It's easy [to] forget...we're 18 months post FY21, and...BYJU'S has grown over 4 times in this span."
