He hopes to raise Rs 600 crore to fund operations till March 2024 and clear dues, including a payment to BCCI. Think & Learn, the parent of Byju's, also has a term loan B of $1.2 billion.

An Indian player celebrated by running across the court with the national flag. India had earlier withdrawn from the competition as it was scheduled to be held in Pakistan. The peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Turkey, which were held a day after Ukraine launched multiple drones to destroy nearly 40 Russian military aircraft, ended in barely an hour, Turkish officials said. The second round of talks began two hours later than scheduled. Ukraine said both sides agreed to return the bodies of 6,000 fallen soldiers each.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has postponed the NEET PG 2025 entrance exam. The exam was originally scheduled to take place on June 15. The decision follows a directive from Supreme Court, which instructed that the examination be conducted in a single shift to ensure transparency and fairness.

The number of coronavirus-linked deaths has reached 32, with four deaths recorded in the last 24 hours. Kerala has the highest number of active cases at 1,435, followed by Maharashtra at 506, Delhi at 483 and Gujarat at 338.

Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has announced his retirement from ODI cricket. The 36-year-old said, "It feels like it's a tiring affair just to get through the 50 overs...and then going out there and trying to perform with the bat as well. Maxwell scored 3,990 runs and took 77 wickets in 149 ODI matches.

BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla is set to become the next BCCI President, as per reports. He will assume the role of acting president for three months after current BCCI President Roger Binny turns 70 on July 19, reports added. Shukla is then expected to formally run for the post during the AGM scheduled in September, reports said.
