The Cabinet has approved an increase in minimum support prices (MSP) for all mandated rabi crops for marketing season 2022-23. The MSP of wheat has been hiked by ₹40/quintal to ₹2,015/quintal from ₹1,975 in 2021-22, while the MSP of gram has been hiked by ₹130/quintal to ₹5,230/quintal. Wheat is expected to give 100% return to farmers over their production cost.
