Cable stocks fall up to 5% as UltraTech enters wires

Polycab India, KEI Industries and Havells shares fell up to 5% after UltraTech Cement started commercial production of wires and cables in Gujarat. Its 11-lakh-km capacity could intensify competition in the organised cable market. Investors are also tracking strong industry demand from power, infrastructure, data centres and telecom.
