Mondelez International plans to acquire The Hershey Company in what would create one of the world's largest confectioners, Bloomberg reported. The owner of Oreo and Cadbury has reportedly made a preliminary approach about a possible combination. Its previous attempt to buy Hershey had failed after the latter rejected a $23 billion takeover bid in 2016.
