Caffeine in evening may affect quality of night-time sleep: Study

A study found consuming caffeine in the evening may not always reduce sleep duration but can lower sleep quality. After analysing 32 studies, researchers found caffeine reduces deep "slow-wave" sleep activity, essential for brain recovery, energy restoration and proper body functioning during night. Researchers said people may spend eight hours in bed, but the brain may fail to fully regenerate.
