Gavin Newsom, the Governor of the US state of California, has announced to withdraw more than two-third of the state's National Guard troops from the US-Mexico border. Announcing the withdrawal, Newsom called US President Donald Trump's claims of an illegal migration crisis at the border a "manufactured" problem and "political theatre". The remaining troops will combat drug smuggling.
