Camels struggle to survive as desert heat reaches new highs

Extreme heat is pushing camels beyond their natural limits as desert temperatures across Africa and the Middle East climb above 50 degrees Celsius. Scientists warn the animals are suffering from dehydration, disease and heat stress. Ethiopian herders have already reported losing camel calves, while many communities are relocating their herds in search of water, vegetation and cooler grazing areas.
