Residual malignant cells post-treatment pose transfusion risks, particularly in hematologic malignancies. Blood quality and nutrient levels may also remain suboptimal, justifying clinical exclusion from donation protocols for most blood cancer survivors. If you’ve had blood cancer, check with your physician before considering donation.
