Ginger and cinnamon contain compounds that may influence metabolism and insulin sensitivity. However, according to Dr Rammanohar, there is no clinical evidence supporting a 5 kg weight loss in seven days from herbal tea alone. Rapid weight reduction usually reflects fluid loss, not fat loss, and is rarely sustainable or safe.
