Can H1N1 flu affect the brain and what are the warning signs?

Dr Ritu Jha explains that H1N1 flu can rarely affect the brain and nervous system. Severe headache, confusion, repeated vomiting, seizures, unusual sleepiness or sudden weakness require urgent medical attention. Rare complications such as encephalitis and Guillain-Barré syndrome may occur. Most patients recover without these problems, but warning signs should not be ignored.
