Can India’s first dengue vaccine change disease prevention?

India has approved its first dengue vaccine, QDENGA (TAK-003), developed by Takeda, for people aged 4 to 60 years. Dr G Krishna Mohan Reddy said the vaccine approval offers hope for better dengue prevention, but it will be available from 2027. Experts stress that mosquito control and preventive measures remain important.
