When lung cancer is detected at an early stage and managed promptly using surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy, often in combination, patients may achieve remission or long-term survival. However, advanced or metastatic disease remains hard to cure. Treatment efficacy depends on histology, stage, and overall health prognosis.
