Germany's Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said the country is open to sending German soldiers to Ukraine to help secure a demilitarised zone if a ceasefire agreement with Russia is reached. "We're the largest NATO partner in Europe. We'll obviously have a role to play," Pistorius added. President-elect Donald Trump had said he could end the Ukraine-Russia conflict within 24 hours.
