Can't force citizens to worship a deity: Owaisi on 'Vande Mataram'

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, during the discussion on 150 years of Vande Mataram in the Lok Sabha, said linking patriotism to any religion is against constitution. Vande Mataram is India's national song, which translates to 'Mother, I Bow to Thee'. "When..Constitution...grants complete freedom of..religion, and worship, how can any citizen be compelled to worship any...deity?" he questioned on X.
