The Patna High Court has ordered the Bihar government to pay ₹5 lakh as compensation to a 15-year-old boy who was wrongfully detained in a dispute case. The boy remained in custody for two and a half months, and the court said it couldn't remain a "mute spectator". HC also slammed the magistrate for failing to protect the minor.
