Tooth cavities may do more than cause toothache. When decay reaches deeper layers of the tooth, it can irritate nerves connected to the trigeminal nerve, which also supplies the head and face. Dr. Saumya explains that this shared nerve pathway may allow dental pain to radiate toward the temples or forehead, sometimes triggering migraine-like headaches.
