Can vaccines help protect you from monsoon infections?

Monsoon can increase the risk of infections linked to contaminated food and water, mosquitoes and humidity. Dr Koulsoum Houssein explains that vaccines for influenza, typhoid, hepatitis A and, in some cases, Japanese encephalitis may help reduce risks. However, vaccination should be based on individual needs and combined with hygiene, safe water and mosquito protection.
