Can your child be a nominee for your mutual fund investments?
Parents can name their child as nominee for their mutual fund investments, regardless of child's age. But if the nominee is a minor, a guardian will manage the money on the child's behalf until they turn 18. Nomination doesn't automatically make the child legal heir and investors must have a valid will to ensure the investment passes to their child.
