Canada allows its citizens to pass citizenship to kids born abroad

Canada has enacted a law allowing children of Canadians to pass citizenship to their own children, even if born or adopted abroad. However, applicants must prove that they lived in Canada for at least three years before child's birth or adoption. "People born before December 15, 2025...will be Canadian and can now apply for proof of citizenship," government said.
