Canada has extended the deadline to apply for an open work permit under the Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident (TR-to-PR) pathway until December 31, 2026. This extension applies to eligible applicants and their family members who submitted permanent residency applications under the 2021 TR-to-PR program. They can now continue working while their permanent residency applications are processed.
