Canada recognises Khalistani extremists as 'national security threat'

A Canadian intel report tabled in the country's Parliament recognised Khalistani extremists as a "national security threat" who "leverage Canadian institutions to promote violent extremist agenda". The report noted that the 1985 bombing of a Toronto-Mumbai Air India flight, whose suspects were Khalistani extremists, remains the "deadliest terrorist attack" in Canada. The bombing claimed 329 lives.
