Canada Post has released a postage stamp to mark Diwali. "Celebrants create beautiful floor patterns during Diwali to invite Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, into their homes," Canada Post said. "These intricate floor patterns, which have many other names in different regions of India, are a deeply meaningful part of Diwali celebrations," it added.
