A Canadian restaurant chain that makes a local delicacy of fries topped with gravy and cheese curds has changed the name of its signature dish following customer complaints after Russia's war with Ukraine. Frite Alors! used to call the dish "The Vladimir" after the Russian President. The dish is now called "The Volodymyr" in honour of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
